Refund & Cancellation Policy
We want every order to arrive as described and in suitable condition. Because cultures and spawn are living biological products, timing and handling can matter when a cancellation or return is requested.
Cancelling an order
To request a cancellation, email thesporium@gmail.com as soon as possible and include your order reference.
- If the order has not entered production or dispatch preparation, we will normally cancel it and refund the amount paid.
- If production, preparation or courier fulfilment has already started, we will assess the request based on the stage of the order and the nature of the goods.
- Once an order has been dispatched, it generally cannot be cancelled as an ordinary pre-dispatch cancellation.
Living and perishable products
For biosecurity and product-integrity reasons, opened, inoculated, used or otherwise handled living cultures and spawn ordinarily cannot be returned to stock. Certain living or rapidly deteriorating goods may also fall within statutory exceptions to ordinary cooling-off rights. Any statutory right that does apply to your transaction remains unaffected.
Incorrect, damaged or defective goods
If we sent the wrong item, your order was damaged in transit, or you believe a product is defective, please contact us promptly with your order reference, a description of the issue and, where useful, clear photographs. We will assess the issue and arrange the appropriate remedy.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible. Bank and payment-provider processing times can vary after a refund has been submitted. Where legislation prescribes a particular refund period, that period will apply.
Shipping costs on returns
Responsibility for return shipping depends on the reason for the return and the rights that apply to the transaction. If the goods are incorrect, damaged, unsafe or defective in a way for which Sporium is responsible, we will handle the return or replacement in accordance with applicable law.
